WESUAL photographically accompanied the second largest culinary competition in the world and combined the pictures into a book
For five days, more than 105 teams from national and regional teams worldwide have delivered an exceptional culinary competition in Luxembourg. WESUAL accompanied the Culinary World Cup 2018 and recorded the masterful creations of the teams photographically. Today we give insight into the world behind the scenes.
The World Championship of Chefs has been held every four years since 1974, alternating with the IKA/Culinary Olympics, held in Germany, as part of the gastronomy fair „Expogast“ in Luxembourg. The Cup brings the most talented chefs of all five continents to the Grand Duchy. In 2018, 30 national teams, 15 youth national teams and 15 community catering teams met for the World Cup, which took place from 24.-28. November 2018 in Luxembourg. In addition, individual chefs and patissiers from 75 nations competed against each other in further individual categories in order to win one of the coveted medals.

Fünf Tage haben sich mehr als 105 Teams weltweit aus National- und Regional-Mannschaften einen außergewöhnlichen kulinarischen Wettkampf in Luxemburg geliefert. WESUAL begleitete den Culinary World Cup 2018 und hielt die meisterhaften Kreationen der Teams fotografisch fest. Heute geben wir Einblick in die Welt hinter den Kulissen.
Die Weltmeisterschaft der Köche wird seit 1974 alle vier Jahre im Wechsel mit der Olympiade der Köche, die in Deutschland stattfindet, im Zuge der Gastronomiemesse Expogast in Luxemburg ausgetragen. Der Cup bringt die talentiertesten Köche aller fünf Kontinente ins Großherzogtum. 2018 trafen sich 30 Nationalmannschaften, 15 Jugendnationalteams und 15 Community Catering Teams zum World Cup, der vom 24.-28. November 2018 in der Luxexpo stattfand. Außerdem traten zusätzlich einzelne Köche und Patissiers aus 75 Nationen in weiteren Einzelkategorien gegeneinander an, um eine der begehrten Medaillen zu gewinnen.
